Emotion & Motion tells wedding stories on the Costa del Sol with an editorial, emotional and cinematic style. We are a Madrid-based studio and travel to Marbella, Benahavís and Sotogrande with our own team.
OUR WORK IN MARBELLA
August 2024. We filmed a wedding between Benahavís and Sotogrande: getting ready in one place, a couple's session in the late light in another, a 19:30 ceremony and the party. We set fixed cameras for the ceremony and mic'd the groom so the vows came through clean in the film.
HOW WE WORK ON THE COSTA DEL SOL
We come from Madrid by high-speed train to Málaga (about 2 h 40 min) and then by road to Marbella (about 60 km). We work in Spanish and English and agree the timeline with your planner weeks in advance: for weddings with their own rituals we ask for the exact order so no moment is missed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How far in advance should we book photo and video for a Marbella wedding?
We recommend booking 9 to 12 months ahead for weddings from May to October. We give each date to one couple only, and it is held once the contract is signed.
What are the best months for light in Marbella?
May, June, September and the first half of October. Marbella has late sunsets: around 21:40 in late June, around 20:30 in mid-September and around 19:45 in mid-October. At our August 2024 wedding the ceremony was at 19:30 to make the most of that light.
How does travel to Marbella work?
We travel from Madrid by high-speed train to Málaga (about 2 h 40 min) or by plane, then by road to Marbella or Sotogrande. Team travel, accommodation and transfers are quoted separately and itemised in the proposal.
Which languages do you work in?
Spanish and English: meetings, contract, coordination with your planner and the wedding day itself.
Can you fly a drone at a Marbella wedding?
It depends on the exact spot. Our process: 1) once we have the venue's address, we check it on the official ENAIRE Drones map; 2) Málaga airport's controlled airspace and, in Sotogrande, the area around Gibraltar require prior coordination if the venue falls inside them; 3) protected areas such as the Artola Dunes need permission; 4) flying over guests or in urban areas must be notified to Spain's Ministry of the Interior at least 5 working days ahead (Royal Decree 517/2024). If it is not legal to fly there, we don't fly: our contracts say so.
What happens if it rains?
Our process: 1) about 2 weeks before, with our 15-day questionnaire, we go through the covered plan B for every moment with your planner; 2) the day before we check the AEMET forecast and adjust the portrait time; 3) if it rains at portrait time, we move it to the first break in the weather or to a post-wedding session.
How much does wedding photo and video in Marbella cost?
Photo and film from €8,000. Team travel and accommodation are quoted separately, depending on the number of days and people.
